We are thrilled and delighted to have been engaged by a number of new clients, including: Digislide Holdings Ltd [ASX:DGI] listed on the ASX on 24 August 2009. Notwithstanding the GFC, all the stakeholders worked tirelessly to make the IPO a success. We undertook the IP due diligence and wrote the independent IP Report, which was all the more interesting in light of Digislide's extensive portfolio of Australian and international patents and trade marks. Job well done by all and I am proud to have been associated with everyone on the team. Now we start the "real" job of helping Digislide to commercialise their technology.
Edgility's "white label" mobile tipping application – TIPSTREAM - was recently selected as a Finalist in the ADMA Mobile Marketing Awards and was short-listed in the category of “Most Creative Mobile Solution.” As Edgility expands its horizons we'll be working quietly in the background to keep all the legal stuff in order. UBuild Homes is the classic story of an entrepreneur who literally built not a better mouse trap but a better way for owner-builders to take charge of the building process with confidence. Applying years of personal, hands-on experience, UBuild developed SHAREPOINT - a proprietary, information technology "artificial intelligence" system for owner-builders which it now franchises. Franchising is often an attractive commercialisation model but, as always, the regulatory and governance issues can be a frustrating learning curve to conquer. I'm pleased to report that UBuild's franchisees and owner-builders are, well, up and building.
IP Payments is Australia’s leader in the provision of industry and corporate e-payment managed solutions. IPP already has a well established history of successful projects – from complex and customised implementations through to highly successful industry solutions. Our role is to assist IPP to protect their valuable intellectual property and expand into off-shore markets. A role we relish.
Two Hemispheres is building an on-line business network that will enable its clients to more easily expand their operations across and between Australia and the EU. The network, the Two Hemispheres Business Club, will bring together executives from the European and Australian ICT industries to share ideas, offer advice and build business opportunities. Of course, Two Hemispheres first had to establish its own operations in Australia and that's where we came in. We now look forward to assisting 2H and their clients to harness the synergies and develop the opportunities between the ICT sectors in Australia and the huge EU market.
Mind Your Uptime is an ASP company which remotely monitors and reports on the functionality and performance of computer systems and networks. Operating under a 24/7 SaaS model, the MYU service is aimed at SMEs throughout Australia (and just about anywhere else for that matter). Developing the MYU ASP contracts was a pleasure.
Geeks2U is an expanding band (and an expanding brand) of IT technicians who provide same day, onsite computer repair and troubleshooting services (and are anything but "geeky"). Already well established in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Canberra and Perth, we are helping the GEEKS2U team to role out their services throughout Australia.
It's not only technology that gives us a good feeling. We're now helping the International School of Music to expand its network of children's music schools in Australia, the USA and now even in Vietnam. As with so many businesses, ISM recognises that its core asset is the intellectual property in their teaching materials and proven teaching methodology (not to mention their really cool portfolio of brands). OK the children are pretty important too!!
TigerSpike - the developer of the PHOENIX mobile content management system that manages multiple mobile content formats and distributes them to handsets in Australia and overseas. Now with offices in Sydney, New York and London, TigerSpike puts content onto mobile devices around the world - and we're trying to keep up with them.
